Sold in 2 kg pack.

Description

A food grade thickener that can be added to Fruit Fly Lure mix to improve weathering and longevity in the field.

How does it work?

  • Fruit fly lure thickener increases the viscosity of the protein bait mixture
  • This improves rainfastness and helps the protein lure remain attractive longer in the field

How to mix

  • It takes time for the thickener to go into solution
  • We recommend mixing thickener with water 24 hours before addition of Fruit Fly Lure protein
  • Alternatively, pre-mix thickener with water for a minimum of 30 minutes before use
  • Gentle agitation with an electric stirring rod or paint mixer will speed up the process
  • Add Fruit Fly Lure protein plus toxicant to thickened water on the day of application

Use thickener at the following rates:

  • High fruit fly pressure: 5 g/L
  • Low to moderate fruit fly pressure: 2.5 g/L
