Description
A food grade thickener that can be added to Fruit Fly Lure mix to improve weathering and longevity in the field.
How does it work?
- Fruit fly lure thickener increases the viscosity of the protein bait mixture
- This improves rainfastness and helps the protein lure remain attractive longer in the field
How to mix
- It takes time for the thickener to go into solution
- We recommend mixing thickener with water 24 hours before addition of Fruit Fly Lure protein
- Alternatively, pre-mix thickener with water for a minimum of 30 minutes before use
- Gentle agitation with an electric stirring rod or paint mixer will speed up the process
- Add Fruit Fly Lure protein plus toxicant to thickened water on the day of application
Use thickener at the following rates:
- High fruit fly pressure: 5 g/L
- Low to moderate fruit fly pressure: 2.5 g/L
